Following years of neglect by a succession of owners, eventually culminating in a major fire in June 2003, the grade ll* former Molineux Hotel, was acquired by Wolverhampton City Council. The Council immediately embarked upon an
ambitious program of restoration. The initial phase, completed in December 2005, stabilised the structure, repaired the external envelope and began the restoration of the historic interiors. Work is now underway to complete the
internal restoration and to extend the building to create a new home for the Wolverhampton Archives and Local Studies service.

 

 

28 - 36 Snow Hill were restored in 2000 by the Buildings at Risk Trust, making a significant contribution to the Success 2regeneration of this part of Wolverhampton. It was funded through European grants and the Conservation Area Partnership Scheme.

The Grade II listed Albion Mill is the centre piece of the Southbank residential redevelopment next to the Birmingham canal, by Redrow Homes

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mount Pleasant is in the Bilston Town Centre Conservation Area and has been transformed under the Bilston Success 4Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI), a grant scheme launched in 2002. Property owners received financial aid to restore their buildings and this has resulted in significantly improving the townscape.
